Tracy Brown, the lead behind Brown Law Group, has been a lawyer for quite some time and decided it was time to open her own law firm. She needed a brand that was sophisticated, modern and bold and would appeal to a wide range of clients, as she works in both divorce and family law.

With her brand, we had to avoid using the full initial set of Brown Law Group (BLG) as there is already a law firm that uses BLG for their company. I focused on creating a monogram using the B from the name, as a monogram is a very appropriate fit for a law firm and also captures the aesthetic tone that Tracy was looking for.
initial concepts:
I explored a range of options and tones, with some designs feeling more geometric and others feeling more flowing in tone. Tracy loved the design that made use of the script B dropped out of the round cornered square. We changed up the supporting fonts and moved on to colour.
revised concepts:
For colour, Tracy wanted something that really support the design and keep those visual tones. She really likes rich colours and wanted to explore that palette for her brand. After playing with the supporting colour, we landed on a rich chocolate brown to pair with the sea blue used on the icon.
